Income Disclaimer
About This Disclaimer
This Disclaimer explains what IHUBApp can and cannot promise you about the income you may earn, or the funds you may raise, through the platform. It applies to anyone using IHUBApp for any monetised or fundraising activity — including paid channels, event ticketing, giving campaigns, merchandise, sponsorships, or any other activity through which you collect or seek to collect money from others.
IHUBApp is a product of InspireHUB. The IHUBApp platform and its intellectual property are owned by Gloo, LLC. InspireHUB Canada Holdings Inc. and InspireHUB Australia Pty Ltd are wholly owned subsidiaries of Gloo, LLC, which is itself a subsidiary of Gloo Holdings, Inc. Depending on where your Hub is hosted, the entity you are contracting with is one of the following:
| Region | Contracting Entity | Governing Law |
|---|---|---|
| 🇨🇦 Canada | InspireHUB Canada Holdings Inc. | Province of Ontario |
| 🇺🇸 United States | Gloo, LLC | State of Colorado |
| 🇦🇺 Australia | InspireHUB Australia Pty Ltd | State of New South Wales |
Throughout this Disclaimer, "InspireHUB," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the applicable contracting entity above. "You" and "your" refer to the person or organisation using IHUBApp in connection with any monetised or fundraising activity, including operating a paid channel, selling event tickets, running a giving campaign, or promoting products or services through a Hub.
This Disclaimer forms part of your agreement with InspireHUB and should be read alongside the IHUBApp Terms of Service, the Merchant Agreement, and the IHUBApp Privacy Notice. By using IHUBApp for any monetised or fundraising purpose, you accept and agree to be bound by this Disclaimer.
This Disclaimer applies specifically to creators, influencers, community builders, event hosts, campaign organisers, and any other users who use IHUBApp to generate or seek to generate income or raise funds — including through paid channel subscriptions, event ticketing, giving campaigns, merchandise, sponsorships, or any other monetised or fundraising activity facilitated through the platform.
Our Role as a Platform
IHUBApp provides communication infrastructure, community management tools, and commerce features — including paid channel subscriptions, event ticketing, and fundraising campaigns — to enable you to build, monetise, and grow your own community. We are a technology provider, not a business partner, revenue-share participant, or guarantor of your commercial success.
Our role is limited to making the platform available to you in accordance with our Terms of Service. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the size of your audience, the level of engagement your content generates, the price points you set, the funds you seek to raise, or the commercial decisions you make in connection with your Hub. Those factors — and the income and fundraising outcomes that flow from them — are entirely within your own control and depend on your individual circumstances.
Think of IHUBApp the way you'd think of a venue or a payment terminal: we provide the space and the tools, but what you build, who shows up, and how much you earn is determined by you — not by us.
Nothing in this Disclaimer limits InspireHUB's obligations under the Terms of Service to maintain platform availability, process payments correctly through our payment partner Stripe, Inc., or uphold the security and data protection standards described in our Privacy Notice and Data Processing Agreement. What we are clarifying here is that platform availability does not equal commercial success, and that InspireHUB makes no representations to that effect.
No Earnings or Fundraising Guarantee
InspireHUB does not guarantee that you will earn any income or raise any funds through your use of IHUBApp. Any references in our marketing materials, case studies, or success stories to earnings, revenue growth, subscriber numbers, donation totals, or other financial outcomes achieved by other users of the platform represent the individual experiences of those users and are not a representation that you will achieve the same or similar results.
Your earnings or funds raised — if any — will depend on factors that InspireHUB does not control and cannot predict, including but not limited to:
The size, engagement level, and loyalty of your existing audience; your reputation and reach across other platforms; and the willingness of your audience to pay for access to your content, events, or giving campaigns.
The quality, consistency, and perceived value of the content or experiences you offer through your Hub; your pricing strategy; and your ability to retain paying subscribers, repeat event attendees, or recurring donors over time.
Conditions in the markets you operate in; competition from other creators or platforms; changes in audience preferences; and economic conditions that affect consumer spending on digital subscriptions, events, and charitable giving.
Your own time, effort, skills, and business decisions; how effectively you promote your Hub and acquire new subscribers, ticket buyers, or donors; and how you manage refunds, cancellations, and audience expectations.
ALL REFERENCES TO EARNINGS, REVENUE, SUBSCRIBER COUNTS, DONATION TOTALS, OR OTHER FINANCIAL OUTCOMES IN INSPIREHUB'S MARKETING MATERIALS ARE PRESENTED FOR ILLUSTRATIVE PURPOSES ONLY. THEY DO NOT CONSTITUTE A REPRESENTATION, WARRANTY, OR GUARANTEE OF INCOME OR FUNDRAISING RESULTS. INSPIREHUB EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY WARRANTY THAT USE OF THE PLATFORM WILL RESULT IN INCOME OR FUNDS RAISED OF ANY KIND OR AMOUNT. THIS DISCLAIMER APPLIES TO INCOME AND FUNDRAISING OUTCOMES ONLY AND DOES NOT LIMIT INSPIREHUB'S SEPARATE OBLIGATIONS IN RESPECT OF PLATFORM AVAILABILITY, PAYMENT PROCESSING, SECURITY, AND DATA PROTECTION AS SET OUT IN THE TERMS OF SERVICE (INCLUDING SECTIONS 2.18, 2.20, AND 3.1).
Paid Channels
IHUBApp enables you to create paid subscription channels — gated communities or content experiences that your subscribers access in exchange for a recurring fee processed through Stripe, Inc. InspireHUB provides the technical infrastructure for this feature, but the following aspects of your paid channel are entirely your responsibility:
Pricing and Terms
You set your own subscription pricing. InspireHUB has no involvement in determining what you charge your subscribers and makes no representation about what pricing will attract or retain subscribers for your specific content or community. You are responsible for communicating your subscription terms clearly to your subscribers, including what access they receive, how renewals work, and your own refund and cancellation policy.
Subscriber Acquisition and Retention
InspireHUB does not drive subscribers to your paid channel. Your subscriber base is a function of your own audience, marketing efforts, content quality, and the value you deliver. Platform availability does not create, maintain, or guarantee a paying audience.
Revenue Processing
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. under the terms of our Merchant Agreement. InspireHUB is not responsible for payment processing delays, Stripe service disruptions, or failed transactions that may affect your revenue, except to the extent expressly set out in the Terms of Service. The limitation of liability provisions in Section 2.18 of the Terms of Service — including the aggregate liability cap of fees paid in the preceding twelve months — apply to any claim arising from payment processing issues.
Your Obligations to Subscribers
Where you offer paid channel subscriptions, you are operating as a merchant. You are responsible for complying with all applicable consumer protection, refund, and advertising laws in the jurisdictions where your subscribers are located. InspireHUB's platform tools are not a substitute for legal or financial advice about operating a paid subscription business.
If your Hub is cancelled or terminated — whether voluntarily or for cause — subscribers who have paid for ongoing access to your channel have a reasonable expectation of either continued access for the period they paid for or a refund. Your obligations to those subscribers in that circumstance are governed by the Merchant Agreement, applicable consumer protection law, and the terms you have communicated to your subscribers. InspireHUB's liability in connection with Hub cancellation or termination is limited as set out in Section 2.18 of the Terms of Service.
Event Ticketing
IHUBApp provides event ticketing functionality that allows you to sell tickets to virtual or in-person events hosted through or promoted via your Hub. As with paid channels, InspireHUB's role is limited to providing the technical infrastructure for ticket sales and payment processing through Stripe, Inc.
Event Outcomes Are Not Guaranteed
InspireHUB makes no representation about the number of tickets you will sell, the revenue your event will generate, or the commercial viability of any particular event. Ticket sales depend on your audience, your marketing, your event format, and factors entirely outside InspireHUB's control.
Cancellations and Refunds
You are responsible for establishing and communicating your own cancellation and refund policy to ticket buyers. In the event that your event is cancelled or materially changed, your obligations to ticket buyers are governed by applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction and the terms you have communicated to buyers — not by InspireHUB's policies. You must ensure that your event refund policy complies with applicable law, including the Australian Consumer Law for Australian events and applicable provincial consumer protection legislation for Canadian events.
In Australia, the Australian Consumer Law imposes mandatory guarantees in respect of services that cannot be excluded by contract. For event ticketing specifically, this may include guarantees relating to refunds where an event is cancelled or does not proceed as advertised. These event-specific rights are in addition to the general ACL consumer framework described in Section 9. You should seek independent legal advice if you are operating events for Australian audiences.
Platform Availability and Events
InspireHUB takes reasonable steps to maintain platform availability, but does not guarantee uninterrupted service. If a platform disruption affects your event, your recourse is governed by the service level and limitation of liability provisions in the Terms of Service. InspireHUB is not liable for lost ticket revenue, reputational harm, or consequential losses arising from platform disruptions, except to the extent that liability cannot be limited under applicable law.
Giving & Fundraising
IHUBApp includes a giving function that enables any IHUBApp user to raise funds through their Hub — for personal causes, community initiatives, organisational needs, charitable purposes, or any other purpose they choose. InspireHUB does not restrict the purpose for which funds may be raised, subject to the prohibited conduct provisions set out below and compliance with all applicable laws and our Acceptable Use Policy.
No Fundraising Outcome Guarantee
As with all monetised features on IHUBApp, InspireHUB makes no representation that a giving campaign will raise any particular amount of funds, attract any particular number of donors, or achieve its stated goal. Fundraising outcomes depend entirely on your audience, the nature and presentation of your campaign, and factors outside InspireHUB's control.
Your Legal Obligations as a Campaign Organiser
If you use IHUBApp's giving function to solicit funds from others, you are solely responsible for ensuring that your campaign complies with all laws applicable to fundraising in the jurisdictions where you and your donors are located. This includes but is not limited to:
Provincial charitable solicitation and fundraising legislation, including Ontario's Charities Accounting Act and equivalent provincial statutes. Organisations registered as charities with the Canada Revenue Agency must comply with CRA rules governing fundraising activities and donor receipting. InspireHUB does not issue charitable tax receipts.
State charitable solicitation registration requirements, which vary significantly by state. Organisations that are tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code must comply with IRS rules governing fundraising. InspireHUB does not issue US tax deduction receipts and does not verify the tax-exempt status of any campaign organiser.
State and territory fundraising legislation, which differs across jurisdictions. Organisations registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) must comply with ACNC governance standards in connection with fundraising activities. InspireHUB does not issue Australian tax deductibility receipts.
InspireHUB does not verify whether a giving campaign is lawful, whether a campaign organiser is a registered charity, or whether funds raised will be used for the stated purpose. Donors give at their own discretion. If you are considering donating through a Hub giving campaign, you should satisfy yourself as to the legitimacy and purpose of the campaign before contributing.
Donor Data
Your responsibilities as campaign organiser
Where your giving campaign collects personal information from donors — including names, contact details, and payment information — you are acting as the data controller for that information (meaning you, not InspireHUB, are responsible for how that information is collected and used). You are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from donors, handling their personal information in accordance with applicable privacy law, and providing donors with clear information about how their data will be used. Where you intend to use donor personal information for any purpose beyond processing the donation itself — such as ongoing communications, marketing, or sharing with third parties — you must obtain separate, informed consent from donors before collecting that information.
What data InspireHUB holds
Donor card and payment credential data is processed and held by Stripe, Inc. and is not stored by InspireHUB. However, InspireHUB does receive transaction confirmation data from Stripe, including transaction identifiers, amounts, and payment status. InspireHUB's handling of this transaction data is governed by the IHUBApp Privacy Notice — donors who wish to understand what information InspireHUB holds about their transaction should refer to that Notice or contact privacy@inspirehub.com. Campaign organisers' handling of donor data is governed by the Data Processing Agreement. If your Hub is cancelled or terminated, donor data retained by InspireHUB will be handled in accordance with Section 2.11 of the Terms of Service, which sets out the archiving and deletion schedule for Client Data following subscription termination.
Prohibited Conduct
Even though InspireHUB does not restrict the purpose for which funds may be raised, the following conduct is prohibited and may result in suspension or termination of your Hub in accordance with the Terms of Service: fraudulent or deceptive fundraising; misrepresentation of the purpose for which funds will be used; impersonation of a registered charity or not-for-profit organisation; and any fundraising activity that violates the Acceptable Use Policy. To report a campaign you believe may be in violation, contact report@inspirehub.com. InspireHUB will acknowledge receipt of reports within a reasonable time and will investigate in accordance with its Acceptable Use Policy enforcement procedures. Where a giving campaign is terminated for cause, refund obligations to donors are governed by the Merchant Agreement and applicable consumer protection law. InspireHUB reserves the right to process refunds to donors directly where it determines this is necessary, including where a campaign has violated the Acceptable Use Policy or applicable law.
Testimonials & Endorsements
InspireHUB may publish testimonials from platform users — including creators, influencers, and community builders — describing their experiences with IHUBApp. Where we do so, we are committed to the following standards.
Accuracy and Consent
Testimonials published by InspireHUB are genuine statements from actual users, obtained with the individual's informed consent and accurately reproduced. Where a testimonial has been edited for length or clarity, we ensure that the edit does not change the meaning of the original statement. Individuals featured in testimonials may request removal or correction of their statement at any time by contacting us at privacy@inspirehub.com.
Results Are Not Typical
Testimonials represent the individual experience of the user who provided them. They are not a representation that other users will achieve the same outcomes. Where a testimonial references specific earnings, subscriber numbers, or financial outcomes, those results reflect that individual's particular circumstances, audience, content, and effort — and are not typical of the results achieved by the general user population.
InspireHUB's testimonial practices are designed to comply with the Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides (United States), the Competition Bureau's guidelines on testimonials and endorsements (Canada), and the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission's guidance on testimonials. Where a user featured in a testimonial has received compensation, free access, or any other benefit in connection with their testimonial, that relationship will be clearly disclosed.
User-Generated Testimonials and Reviews
If you publish testimonials or reviews on your own Hub about InspireHUB or about third-party products and services, you are responsible for ensuring that those testimonials comply with applicable advertising and consumer protection law, including disclosure requirements where you have a material connection to the product or service being reviewed. InspireHUB's Acceptable Use Policy prohibits the publication of false, misleading, or deceptive testimonials through the platform.
Reviews & Recommendations
InspireHUB may provide reviews, guides, or recommendations of third-party products, services, integrations, or resources through its support resources, marketing materials, or Hub content. Where we do so, we strive to offer accurate, honest, and independently assessed information.
You should be aware that products or services reviewed or recommended by InspireHUB may in some cases have been provided to us at no cost or at a reduced price as an incentive for a review. Where this is the case, we will disclose that material relationship clearly at the point of the specific review or recommendation — not only in this document. This practice is designed to comply with the Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides (United States), the Competition Bureau's guidelines on endorsements (Canada), and the ACCC's guidance on testimonials and reviews (Australia). You should conduct your own due diligence and not rely solely on InspireHUB's assessments when evaluating third-party products or services for your own business.
Nothing in InspireHUB's reviews or recommendations constitutes professional advice — legal, financial, accounting, or otherwise. We always recommend that you seek advice from qualified professionals in your own jurisdiction before making significant business decisions.
Consumer Rights by Jurisdiction
Nothing in this Disclaimer limits or excludes any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection legislation applicable in your jurisdiction. The following jurisdiction-specific notes apply in addition to the general terms of this Disclaimer.
🇨🇦 Canada
For users contracting with InspireHUB Canada Holdings Inc., this Disclaimer is governed by the same law as your principal agreement with InspireHUB, as set out in Section 3.2(a)(i) (Contracting Entity — Canada) of the Terms of Service. Nothing in this Disclaimer limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 (Ontario) or equivalent provincial consumer protection legislation applicable in your province of residence. Canadian users also have rights under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) in respect of personal information held by InspireHUB — including the right to access, correct, and request deletion of personal information, and the right to withdraw consent to certain uses. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@inspirehub.com or refer to the IHUBApp Privacy Notice for full details of available rights and response timeframes.
🇺🇸 United States
For users contracting with Gloo, LLC, this Disclaimer is governed by the same law as your principal agreement with InspireHUB, as set out in Section 3.2(a)(ii) (Contracting Entity — United States) of the Terms of Service. The FTC's Endorsement Guides apply to testimonial and endorsement content. California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) in respect of personal information processed in connection with testimonials or marketing activities. State consumer protection laws may provide additional rights not addressed here — you should consult applicable state law or seek independent legal advice.
🇦🇺 Australia
For users contracting with InspireHUB Australia Pty Ltd, this Disclaimer is governed by the same law as your principal agreement with InspireHUB, as set out in Section 3.2(a)(iii) (Contracting Entity — Australia) of the Terms of Service. The Australian Consumer Law (ACL), contained in Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), provides consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by contract. To the extent that any provision of this Disclaimer is inconsistent with a non-excludable guarantee under the ACL, that provision is void to the extent of the inconsistency. Our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited, to the extent permitted by law, to the re-supply of the relevant service or the payment of the cost of having the service supplied again. The ACCC's guidelines on testimonials and misleading conduct also apply to any endorsement content InspireHUB publishes in connection with Australian users.
Australian users also have rights in respect of personal information held by InspireHUB under the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). These rights include the right to access and correct personal information InspireHUB holds about you, and to make a complaint if you believe your privacy rights have been breached. To exercise these rights or make a privacy enquiry, contact privacy@inspirehub.com or refer to the IHUBApp Privacy Notice for full details of available rights and response timeframes.
Nothing in this Disclaimer affects your rights as a consumer to rely on mandatory provisions of the law of your country or jurisdiction of residence that cannot be excluded by contract. This principle is also stated in the IHUBApp Terms of Service and applies equally here.
Governing Terms
This Disclaimer forms part of the IHUBApp legal framework and is incorporated by reference into the IHUBApp Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict between this Disclaimer and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service prevails to the extent of the conflict. In the event of any conflict between this Disclaimer and the Merchant Agreement in respect of payment, refund, or transaction obligations, the Merchant Agreement governs for those matters.
The no-waiver provision in Section 3.3(a) (Amendment; No Waiver) of the Terms of Service and the severability provision in Section 3.3(g) (Severability) of the Terms of Service apply equally to this Disclaimer. No failure to enforce any provision of this Disclaimer constitutes a waiver. If any provision of this Disclaimer is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
The governing law and dispute resolution provisions that apply to your use of IHUBApp — including jurisdiction, choice of law, and the process for raising a complaint or dispute — are set out in full in Section 3.2 (Specific Terms by Jurisdiction) of the IHUBApp Terms of Service. Those provisions apply equally to any dispute arising under or in connection with this Disclaimer.
InspireHUB reserves the right to update this Disclaimer from time to time in accordance with the amendment provisions in Section 3.3(a) (Amendment; No Waiver) of the Terms of Service. When changes are made, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Where changes are material, InspireHUB will provide advance notice by email and in-app notification. If you do not agree with a material change, you have the right to notify InspireHUB in writing within 30 days of receiving notice — notices should be sent to support@inspirehub.com in accordance with the notice provisions in Section 3.3(h) (Notices) of the Terms of Service. If you submit a timely objection, your existing terms will continue to apply for the remainder of your current Subscription Term, after which the updated Disclaimer will apply. If you continue using IHUBApp's monetised or fundraising features after an update takes effect and have not submitted a written objection, you are considered to have accepted the revised terms.
If you have questions about this Disclaimer, please contact us at support@inspirehub.com.
