The IHUBApp connector for Claude lets you manage your Hubsite from a Claude conversation. Ask Claude to draft posts, reply to comments, search content, check events and review notifications, and it does the work inside your Hubsite with your own permissions. The connector is in public beta, with a full launch planned for November 2026.
What is the IHUBApp connector for Claude?
A connector links Claude to an app you already use, so Claude can read from it and take actions in it. Anthropic's help centre says connectors let Claude "access your apps and services, retrieve your data, and take actions within connected services." You can read more in Anthropic's guide to using connectors.
The IHUBApp connector for Claude does this for your Hubsite. Your Hubsite is where your organization's posts, channels, events, members and conversations live. With the connector added, you ask Claude for help in plain language, and Claude carries out the work in your Hubsite.
The connector uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP), which the official MCP introduction describes as "an open-source standard for connecting AI applications to external systems." You do not need to understand MCP to use it. It is simply the shared language that lets Claude and IHUBApp talk.
The connector is in public beta today, and a full launch is planned for November 2026. IHUBApp is an independent product built by InspireHUB that works with Claude. It is not made, endorsed or certified by Anthropic.
What can Claude do in your Hubsite with the connector?
The connector gives Claude a defined set of actions. Here is what it can do today, grouped by the work community teams do every week.
| Area | What you can ask Claude to do |
|---|---|
| Posts and pages | Draft posts and landing pages, save them as drafts for review, publish or unpublish them, and edit titles, text and channels. |
| Sharing articles | Turn an article link into a post, with the headline, summary and image pulled in for you. |
| Comments | Read comment threads, post comments and reply to members. |
| Search | Search posts, events and channels across your Hubsite. |
| Channels and members | List your channels, create a new public channel and see who belongs to a channel. |
| Events | Find upcoming events, read event details and see the events you have RSVPed to. |
| Notifications and feed | Review your notifications and your Hubsite feed. |
| Media | Upload images to your media library and use them in posts. |
Claude acts as you. It can only do what your own Hubsite role allows. If you cannot edit another member's post in the web editor, Claude cannot edit it either.
Why run your Hubsite from a conversation?
Community work is many small tasks spread across a week. A post here, a reply there, a check on Saturday's event. Each task means opening a screen, finding the right place and switching context. Fragmentation is the enemy of flourishing, and that includes the fragmentation of your own attention.
A conversation keeps the work in one place. You describe the outcome you want. Claude takes the steps, tells you what it did, and you stay in charge of what goes live.
- Fewer screens. Ask for what you need instead of navigating to it.
- Drafts first. Claude can save a post as an unpublished draft, so a person reviews it before members see it.
- Consistent updates. Claude can search your past posts before writing a new one, so tone and facts stay aligned.
- Timely replies. Claude can pull up recent comments and help you answer members while the conversation is still fresh.
This fits how IHUBApp already works. With 12K+ Hubsites launched, IHUBApp brings communication, events, content and community into one connected Hubsite. The connector gives your team one more way in.
How do you add the IHUBApp connector to Claude?
During the beta, you add IHUBApp as a custom connector. Anthropic's custom connector guide covers every option. On Pro and Max plans, the steps look like this:
- Request beta access from InspireHUB, and have your IHUBApp account and the connector's server address ready.
- In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors.
- Select Add, then Add custom connector.
- Give it a name, such as IHUBApp, paste the server address and select Continue.
- Follow the sign-in steps so Claude can connect to your Hubsite account, then select Add.
- In a new conversation, open the + menu, choose Connectors and switch IHUBApp on.
On Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner adds the connector in Organization settings first. Each member then connects with their own account. Anthropic notes that custom connectors are available on Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans, and Free users can add one custom connector.
Anthropic also advises connecting only to servers you trust and reviewing what each tool can do. You can switch individual tools off for a conversation. A sensible way to start is with search and drafting, then add publishing once your team is comfortable.
What does a week with the connector look like?
Here is a generic example. Picture the communications lead at a regional member association. On Monday morning she opens Claude with the IHUBApp connector switched on.
She asks Claude to search the Hubsite for last month's posts about the annual conference, then draft a reminder for the Members channel in the same tone. Claude saves it as a draft. She reads it, changes one line and publishes it herself.
Next she asks which events are coming up and gets a short list with dates and locations. She shares a helpful industry article by giving Claude the link, and Claude turns it into a post. Then she asks for new comments on Friday's update, and Claude drafts replies for her to approve.
By mid-morning the week's communication is in motion. Nothing went live without her say, and she never left the conversation.
What should you keep in mind during the beta?
- It is a beta. Features may change before the November 2026 launch, and your feedback shapes what comes next.
- Keep a person in the loop. Use drafts for anything members will see, and review before you publish.
- Permissions follow your role. Assign Hubsite roles with care, because Claude works within them.
- Choose tools per conversation. Turn off actions you do not need for the task at hand.
- Check the details. Claude can make mistakes, so confirm names, dates and links before anything is published.

Frequently asked questions
What is a Claude connector?
A Claude connector links Claude to another app so it can read information and take actions there. Connectors use the Model Context Protocol, an open standard for connecting AI applications to outside systems. The IHUBApp connector links Claude to your Hubsite.
Can Claude publish posts to my community without my approval?
Claude publishes only when you ask it to and your Hubsite role allows it. You can ask Claude to save posts as drafts instead, and you can switch publishing tools off in Claude. On Team and Enterprise plans, Owners can also set tools to need approval.
Do I need technical skills to set up the connector?
No. Adding a custom connector takes a few steps in Claude: a name, a server address and a sign-in. If you can set up a Hubsite, you can add the connector.
Which Claude plans work with the IHUBApp connector?
Anthropic says custom connectors are available on the Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans. Free plans are limited to one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner adds the connector for the organization first.
Is IHUBApp an Anthropic product?
No. IHUBApp is built by InspireHUB and works with Claude through the open Model Context Protocol. Anthropic does not endorse or certify the connector.
